  • 🐶 Microchip your pooch

Having a collar and ID tag is a must, but microchipping is another backup if your furry friend goes missing. Shelters and rescue agencies often microchip as part of adoption but you should always double check. Your vet should do an annual scan of the chip to ensure it's still functioning and can replace if needed. If you need a microchip, we like Homeagain for their highly rated sensitivity and universally read chip: https://link.joinarrange.com/newpupchecklist_microchipping

  • 🐶 Schedule bi-annual vet visits

When they're young, pets often need to visit their vets regularly for vaccinations, but most adult animals should visit their vets 1-2 times per year for an annual wellness exam.
