  • ๐Ÿ•๏ธ Make reservations

  • ๐Ÿ•๏ธ Make your supplies list & order any missing items

Once you've decided on your destination and have reservations secured, make sure you know what sort of amentities the site offers and if they offer restrooms and easy access to food. • ๐Ÿ•๏ธ Prepare for worst case scenarios

Make sure to bring supplies for inclement weather, a way to contact the outside world (like a GPS tracker if you're backpacking), as well as a first aid kit. Also consider extra fuel or tires if you're going to be really off the grid. • ๐Ÿ•๏ธ Plan your meals

If you plan to bring your food with you, what you can bring depends on how much you'll be moving around and if you're cooking with a camping stove or have use of a camper van's appliances. Make sure you don't overbuy by planning out each meal, plus adding some snacks. Lastly, make sure you have a reliable water source. • ๐Ÿ•๏ธ Test your gear & get a tune up

Especially if you're renting, you'll want to make sure you understand how to pitch your tent before you're in need of shelter. Also make sure that your flashlights have full batteries. It's probably not a bad idea to get a vehicle tune up if you're going to be on the road for a long period of time. If you are taking an RV, reference this pre-trip checklist to make sure everything is in working order: https://link.joinarrange.com/planningacampingtrip_vehiclecheck

  • ๐Ÿ•๏ธ Clean and/or return supplies

One of the benefits to renting gear is that you don't need to clean it, but make sure you properly clean any gear you own and repack it for your next adventure!
